Galaxy Score Change
Description
What is it?
Rather than looking at the absolute Galaxy Score, this indicator measures its rate of change over 3 and 7 days. A score rising both short-term (3 days) and medium-term (7 days) signals genuine, sustained improvement in coin health — not a short-term outlier.
How does the single signal work?
Buy signal: 3-day delta of Galaxy Score > 0 AND 7-day delta > 0 — the score is rising on both timeframes. Sell signal: both deltas < 0. A mixed picture (one positive, one negative) produces no signal.
How does the confirmed signal work?
Confirmed when the MACD histogram is rising (MACD momentum accelerating) OR social volume is increasing (social_volume_24h > social_volume_avg_7d). A social momentum shift that is also reflected in technical momentum and social activity is especially robust.
When is the signal effective?
Often acts as an early indicator of a trend shift before technical indicators react. A coin whose Galaxy Score is beginning to rise while price is still moving sideways can be an early candidate — especially when social volume is also increasing.
When can the signal be misleading?
For coins with thin social coverage (few posts, small community) the score change is very noisy. A single viral post can push the score higher for three days without any genuine market dynamic behind it.
